So we went on a date last night. Did you even know? Over the phone we made evening plans and double-checked our movie times. After dinner, we bundled up a bit and headed out. It was cold out and the prospect of popcorn sounded appropriate. At the movies I kept wanting to lean into your ear and whisper, knowing that I always talk too much. Oh, how you seem like such a beautiful child when you watch the screen - so entranced. I wanted so dearly to squeeze your hand when I knew how excited you were; that face of yours all screen-lit. Your fair skin and bright eyes are perfect screens in their own rights.

Sincerely,
