I take up the slack where secrets leave off. "Demystifying," would be a perfect way to describe me. If saying, "on my sleeve," hadn't become such a music magazine-worthy expression, I'd gladly pin it to mine. Even when trying not to seem so transparent, the best I can manage are thinly veiled quotes from the Civil War or Yo La Tengo or Presidents. Perhaps it's even more basic than that. I just don't have that much going on. It's true. I'm living a life I swore I'd never live and wishing for one I thought I never would. A kick in the shins, anyone?

Sincerely,
Previous & Next
