New Letters

Sat. Dec. 02, 2006 - 12:50 in the P.M.

For all of my nervousness and collapses in self-confidence - for the fears I entertain - for the worry I let surface - it all falls silent when we're lying in bed. Two hours or more can easily flash by in a blink - those events I allow myself to feel safe and comfortable. But when you leave, my sensibilities have to readjust and time slows down like in Flight of the Navigator when they stop flying at hypersonic speed. There's just no crazy alien creatures to comfort me, no Pee-Wee Herman-voiced robot to annoy me, or no intergalactic chrome chair to sit in.

Sincerely,
Previous & Next

p.s. Easy, the hummingbirds.
